As part of the Quality Progressions Outreach Initiative, consumers, family members and our staff are always on the lookout for opportunities to volunteer their time and talents to give back to the Philadelphia community.
On October 9th, the Mural Arts Program held a Community Paint Day at the Gallery. The project enlisted the assistance of community groups to paint a Mural, called Philly On the Move. Ten members of our Advisory Committee signed up to join this effort. We learned that painting a mural is much like painting by numbers, but on a much larger scale. We received a color and number, aprons and paintbrushes to paint large square sheets marked off with numbered squares that were set up on tables in the mall. It was a lot of fun and we had the opportunity to meet and mingle with other groups during the course of the afternoon. A film crew also filmed participants for a documentary on the project. The mural, when completed, will be the largest mural in the country. It will be displayed at Philadelphia's International Airport.
Anyone who knows of an interesting community project for us, or who would
like to participate in Quality Progression's future Outreach Programs,

All of us here at the Giving Factory want to express our sincere appreciation for Quality Progression's amazing work on April 25th.
What a difference a few hours can make! By the end of your shift, your group had cleaned and processed dozens of toys, created several pre-packs, and produced many rolls of wrapping paper, enough to help us reach nearly one hundred kids in need!
Our vision is to reach a day when all children have the basic things they need to be safe, feel valued and be ready to learn. Your "tangible philanthropy" helps make that dream a reality, and we can't thank you enough for joining us.
Since opening in June we've already reached over 2,200 children and with the help of volunteers like yourself, that number grows every day. Thank you for believing in, and supporting, what we do.
Here are some ways you can continue your involvement with C2C:
Thank you again for joining the C2C community. Please spread the word, and visit us again soon. Helping Hands 2007, Project Share Helping
